Beginning with Isaac Whitelock born in 1712, the inside front pages are listed with hand-written birth and death accounts of the descendants of the Whitelocks. In addition, a customized ex-libris is found on the inside front cover of John C. Mendenhall, a descendant of Whitelock and previous owner of this book.

The book is titled, ” Journal of the life of Thomas Story, containing an account of his remarkable convincement of and embracing the principles of truth as held by the people called Quakers and also of his travels and labours in the service of the gospel, with many other occurrences and observations.” Published in 1747 by Newcastle upon Tyne : Printed by Isaac Thompson.
